Diamond Wedding Rings

I never really understood the whole concept of rings for engagement; I mean you get a ring at the wedding, so why should the women get two? What if the woman proposes to the man, does he get a ring? I just can’t imagine a man wearing a diamond engagement ring; after all, there are things that are exclusively female- princess cut diamond engagement rings taking the lead. What if the future bride to be doesn’t like her fiancés taste in jewelry? Is it impolite to exchange it for another ring you like better? Does it have to be expensive? Is it supposed to be worn all the time? On which hand? Can it be worn on the same finger as the wedding ring? I’ve never been engaged, so these are only just some of the questions that go through my mind when I hear the word ring (beside the obvious questions that pops up in everyone’s minds at the mention of a ring: Why did Gollum have to die?). Why are engagement rings even given at all? Could it be that, because a young woman had to give the groom a dowry, he in return had to give her something expensive to seal the contract? Whatever the reason for the beginning of this tradition, nowadays every woman is dreaming of a proposal backed up with a nice fat diamond diamond wedding rings .

Lords of the overpriced diamond rings
Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Graff, Buccellati, Bulgari, Harry Winston, Chopard, Van Cleef and Arpels, Piaget, are just some of the leading jewelers in the world. All of them specialize in diamond rings, weddings rings, diamond engagement rings, and diamond wedding rings. A diamond ring cut, made, or bought from any of these jewelers will be sure to melt your darling’s heart, and secure her unfaltering, undying, and everlasting love. After all, diamonds last forever engagement rings .

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend
Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say no to a diamond myself, but I don’t wear rings. They are unpractical for working around the house, and if you take them off you are likely to forget them on your bathroom mirror. Personally, I would be afraid to walk around town with an expensive diamond on my finger. What if I lose it? What if someone tries to steal it? Can you insure expensive jewelry? Some diamonds or other precious gems cost a fortune. What I’ve always wondered is, why not buy a car instead diamond rings ?

Romance vs. Pragmatism
Putting aside all my questions and my confusion over engagements and their rings, I understand the tradition and the symbolism of a ring. It represents a promise, a strong, unbreakable bond between two people. Whether it will be a simple silver band, or a platinum band with an intricately cut diamond, the gift of a ring symbolizes a gift of love and fidelity. The romantic in me understands and cherishes this side of things, but the pragmatist in me is not blinded by the all the twinkling and brilliance of a diamond diamond ring .
